Due to a lack of funding from Hallam Students Union, we regrettably must cancel the contract on orientalsociety.com, hence the lack of updates to this website since May 2008.

Welcome to Oriental Society
and Sheffield Hallam for all those new students beginning in September 2008. I hope you will find our society to be a fun and happy experience.

• Many FREE Events for all our lovely members
• Great discounts at sponsored establishments
• Get to meet lots of friendly people

Oriental society has your best interest at heart, therefore we encourage our own members and guests to get involved in setting up or organising events.

We would like to see new people become committee members for next term (September 2008) since a lot of our beloved committee will be away.

Big thanks to everyone involved in making the Chinese New Year celebration such a wonderous occassion at the Owen building entrance:
